Part-time cashier position for pet supply retailer. 15-20 hours per week. Must have day-time availability in particular year-round; evening and weekend availability will also sometimes be required. Previous cashier experience preferred, but not required. Excellent personal/social skills are a must for interactions with customers during both face-to-face and phone call interactions as well as with fellow employees. Enthusiasm to work must be a visible characteristic. Must be comfortable with learning how to handle fish, crickets and small animals for sale to customers. Must also be comfortable working in an environment with dogs in the facility on a regular basis. Familiarity with dogs, cats, fish and small animals and their necessitated feeding and care products a plus. Solid work experience and a reference check with previous employers, and drug screening will be necessitated. Compensation $8.00 and hour to start.
